Accordingly to the report of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai has witnessed heavy rainfall on July 8 morning 1 am to 7 am, due to the heavy down pour in many areas, led to waterlogging and distribution in the services of train and flights, as per the officials the downpour, totalling over 300 mm in many areas.

Train services on the Central Railway were delayed due to floods and waterlogging at stations, moreover the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation declared holidays for schools and colleges for the students safety.
