Mumbai is on high alert due to the heavy downpour and thunderstorms

Accordingly to the report of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai has witnessed heavy rainfall on July 8 morning 1 am to 7 am, due to the heavy down pour in many areas, led to waterlogging and distribution in the services of train and flights, as per the officials the downpour, totalling over 300 mm in many areas.

Roads near king’s circle in Dadar were flooded, causing traffic jams, and other side places like Buntara Bhavan in Kurla East saw significant waterlogging. The roads are totally Block people are facing great trouble in reaching to there destinations.

The IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and the Konkan belt. Also, Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahraj International Airport faced challenges, with Airlines like IndiGo and Vistara getting delays and offering rebooking options. Train services on the Central Railway were delayed due to floods and waterlogging at stations, moreover the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation declared holidays for schools and colleges for the students safety.

As mentioned by the experts, more heavy rains and thunderstorms and lightning activity are likely to Arieses in Mumbai today. Citizens are advised to be caution and avoid going outdoors, as rain cause many problems of waterlogging, floods, damage to the transports and infrastructure, also reduce visibility and damage to the crops as well.
