On July 27, NITI Aayog’s 9th Governing council meeting was began under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main focus of the meeting is to make India a developed nation by 2047. It Aime to promote active participative governance and collaboration between the Centre and State governments, enhancing the status of life for both rural and urban populations by strengthening the delivery techniques of government interference. As per the report, In the Meeting presence of all state chief ministers, lieutenant governors of union territories, and several union ministers would be seen.

According to the officials, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee walked out from the NITI Aayog Meeting as she said that “she was stopped from speaking” after just five minutes. She further said , “I have come out boycotting the meeting [Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was given 20 minutes to speak. The chief ministers of Assam, Goa, Chhattisgarh, spoke for 10-12 minutes. I was stopped from speaking after just five minutes. This is unfair. From the opposition side, I was the only one here. I attended the meeting because cooperative federalism should be strengthened. ” Moreover, as mentioned above in her statement, She was the only opposition leader who had attended the meeting. After the presentation of Budget 2024, three congress Chief Ministers, Karnataka’s Siddaramaiah, Telangana’s Revanth Reddy and Himachal Pradesh’s Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as well as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin clearly mentioned that they will boycott the governing council meeting of NITI Aayog.

During the conference, recommendations of five key themes were made on water, electricity, health, schooling, and property. the vision to be surrounded with various aspects of development, including social progress, good governance, economic growth, and environmental sustainability, were made to make India a developed nation. A vision document is also being prepared to help India in its economy to reach $30 trillion by 2047, the 100th year of its independence.
