India’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict remains steadfast, with Jaiswal reiterating the nation’s long-standing support for a two-state solution. “India was one of the first countries to recognize the state of Palestine in the late 1980s, and we have long supported a two-state solution which entails the establishment of a sovereign, viable, and independent state of Palestine within recognized and mutually agreed borders, living side by side with Israel in peace,” he stated.
This commitment to the Palestinian cause has been a cornerstone of India’s foreign policy for decades. The external affairs ministry emphasized the importance of protecting civilian populations and upholding international humanitarian law amid ongoing conflicts.
