An FIR has been registered against Alt news co-founder and fact checker Muhammad Zubair for revealing the boy’s identity in the Muzaffarnagar school case by the UP police under section 74 of the Care and Protection Act, 2015.

On August 25, a shameful incident took place in Muzaffarnagar where a woman, headmistress of Neha Public School, ordered her students to slap one of their muslim classmate. The whole incident was recorded shamelessly and fearlessly by a school member and when it came to the internet it became viral. The video itself reveals the boy’s identity and the teacher’s communal mindset. The teacher herself had been caught using the word                   ‘ Mohammadan’ and ordered to hit harder. “What are you doing this, hit harder. Whose turn is next”, she said in the viral video.

Instead of taking serious action against that teacher, Administration is suppressing the voice of people. Muhammad Zubair said that he knew about an FIR from social media and was in touch with his lawyer. He said that the video was circulated before and after he shared it and he deleted it instantly after Prinyanka Kanoongo ( chairman of the National commission for Protection of child Rights) urged not to share it. He used to reveal and fact checked fake news and hateful statement of hate mongers, that’s why he’s always on their target.

Many political leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Varun Gandhi, Asaduddin Owaisi, Jayant Choudhary etc had condemned the incident.
