After the success of Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Institute (ISRO) has now announced the launch of the Aditya L-1 mission on September 2 to study the Sun. ISRO has tweeted that ‘Aditya L1 will be the first space-based Indian mission to study the Sun. The spacecraft will be sent into a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, which is about 1.5 million KM from Earth. The spacecraft will carry seven payloads that will study the photosphere, chromosphere and the outermost layer of the Sun.
