Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal denounce union home minister Amit Shah for his recent comment, accusing Amit Shah of calling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters “Pakistanis”. Kejriwal responded sharply, saying, “you have not become the prime minister yet, and neither will you become one. Don’t insult the people”. This reply followed Shah’s remark that supporters of Kejriwal and Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi were in Pakistan, reflecting Shah’s declaration of AAP’s corruption.
Addressing the media, Kejriwal claimed that Shah’s arrogance was obvious in his insults to the citizens of Delhi and other states who voted for AAP. Highlighting the magnificent electoral support AAP received, Kejriwal questioned Shah, “Are all the people of this country Pakistani?” He justified AAP’s success in Delhi with 62 seats and 56% of the vote share, as well as victories in Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Gujarat.
Kejriwal also estimated a strong performance by the INDIA bloc in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, claiming that they would win over 300 seats and outs the BJP from power. He mentioned various surveys supporting this outcome. Furthermore Kejriwal criticized the low turnout at Shah’s recent rally in Delhi, claiming lesser then 500 attendees.
Following his provisional bail in the Delhi excise policy case, Kejriwal had suggested that Shah would become the next prime minister if the BJP retained power, as Modi would retire after turning 75. He repeated his belief that the INDIA bloc would form a “clean and steady” government, emphasizing the need for their victory to ensure India’s growth and development. Kejriwal concluded by promoting Shah to control his arrogance and stop insulting the citizens, warning that such behavior would not be tolerated.
